The Role of Kampoeng Community Leaders in Malon Nature Tourism in Maintaining Its Existence as a Batik Village

Abstract

Community leaders as key figures have an important role in moving the community. The importance of the role of community leaders in this case is because the role of community leaders is the main factor related to the success or failure of Kampoeng Wisata Alam Malon to continue to exist as a Malon Batik Village. Therefore, this study aims to describe the role of Kampoeng Wisata Alam Malon community leaders in maintaining its existence as a Batik Village knowing the factors that influence the role of Kampoeng Wisata Alam Malon community leaders in maintaining its existence as a Batik Village. This research uses a qualitative approach with the research subjects including ten informants. Data was collected by observation, interview, and documentation techniques. For data validity techniques using source triangulation, while data analysis techniques with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion and verification. The results showed that Kampoeng Wisata Alam Malon community leaders have carried out their roles as well as the theory of the role of community leaders in an effort to maintain the existence of Kampoeng Wisata Alam Malon as a Batik Village, and there are factors that influence the implementation of its role both internally and externally. The role of Community Leaders in maintaining its existence as a Batik Village, among others, needs to strengthen the implementation of the role of community leaders, both as motivators, facilitators, and mobilizers, so that the people of Kampoeng Wisata Alam Malon do not lose their identity after the Covid-19 pandemic ends.
